Bill Mecca has been delighting audiences with Live Sax for nearly 30 years. Coming from a long line of Welsh singers he has enjoyed entertaining with sax infused classic rock, pop, soft rock, lite jazz and oldies. You can find Bill playing and singing in his Live Sax Shows and also performing with bands like the Jim Delre Band and the Jersey Surecats from Bergenfield to the Wildwoods.
Like many of his contemporaries Bill found inspiration with the R&B saxophonists of the 1940's,, 50's and beyond. He's studied with Julian Sparacino, Christopher Lovely and Joe Arminio. Growing up along the Jersey Shore, Bill cites the Big Man Clarence Clemons, Sam Butera, King Curtis, Big Jay McNeely, Eddie Manion and Rusty Bryant among his influences.
